This month has kept us busy with refining and extension of the entire product range. Besides home accessories and made ups, Stree Shakti has started working on fashion accessories like scarves and stoles. Looking at the encouraging response, we are looking forward to expanding the range as well. All these products involve innovative use of the appliqué and patchwork techniques.
We are happy to share with you that Stree Shakti has also forayed into the foreign markets following its association with companies in UK and USA. Sampling of quilts, bags and other furnishings has been done for them and we are awaiting orders. This has opened new avenues for the women of Stree Shakti and their products are reaching the far corners of the world.
An upcoming resort, La villa Bethany, at Landour, Mussoorie has been completely furnished with our home accessories like quilts, cushions, hot water bags etc. Quilts have been designed according to the colour scheme of every room of the resort. The location of Purkal Stree Shakti is also featured on the Map of Dehradun that has been recently developed by The Purkal Youth Development Society. These maps are available at various Restaurants and hotels of Dehradun. And can also be sent to you on request. Our welfare programme of providing women with nutritious snacks is going successfully.
